Eyes On The Artist: Brit’ni Brown

This is the young, brilliant and amazing artist, Brit’ni Brown.

We are thrilled to introduce her and share her art with you.

She began drawing around the same toddler age as most children except at the age of five she developed extraordinary intensity, passion and skill for drawing, and color usage. Through various art classes and training from professional artists to develop specific techniques, she has increased her natural talent and has attained several awards on city and state levels.

Not only is she a fine artist but a percussionists. She loves music and plays the cello, piano, snare drums, vibraphone, quad and bass drums, and many other instruments. All that and she is only seventeen years old heading into her senior year of high school. One of her future plans is to attend college for Architecture and Arts. Somehow, she manages to find time to enjoy strength training and bacon, her favorite food.

With youth, natural talent, passion and determination, it can only mean the best is yet to come and so,

we have our eyes on Brit’ni Brown!

Indian Summer: What’s Not To Love?

What’s Not To Love about Indian Summer?

This necklace is named for a wonderful phenomenon in autumn when the summer heat returns to warm us. It is one of our favorites for the upcoming season. It will be great over sweaters and inside cardigans as it hangs long and flaunts itself – and it will flaunt you, too! The colors of the drusy agate stones go in and out of themselves the way the colors on the leaves during the Fall play with our eyes. And what do we do? Gaze! In utter delight!

Chillin’ On A Rainy Day!

The day broke with heavy rain, lightning and thunder! We did not complain. The sounds soothed us and made us wrap the sheets around ourselves like we were gifts to the day. When we finally rolled out of bed and ate breakfast, the sun was peeking through the clouds. About an 30 minutes later, the rain fell again then we saw lightning and heard the thunder. We were sure we were going to have to spend the entire day with an open umbrella but then the sun pushed through the clouds and the day opened up to all sorts of possibilities. It is not a super hot, sunny day but it is Saturday and with it a long list of things to do.  The wet ground and the sometimes threatening clouds are constant reminders to keep an umbrella nearby with every move we make! As such, today is a great day for a hat and as it is summertime and still somewhat sunny…

cut-off shorts are always an easy wear. They are must-haves.

Whatever the weather is in your part of the world, we hope you’re having a great Saturday!
