We deeply adore summer and we are beginning to feel sad to see it go day after day! If we could lasso it back we would, even though, we know change is good and inevitable. While we continue to take our bare legs outside in shorts and short skirts, we (mostly me, not him) are doing so with boots on our feet! This is how he comfortably transitions — from flip-flops to this…
…suede summer Oxford’s and leather belts. Great for late summer!
We are enjoying the best of both worlds! This is the perfect time to transition into the Fall season, to wear shorts with an Oxford shirt (rolled-up sleeves) or shorts skirts with boots! Right now, boots are the only things which make the ending of summer bearable.
Are you transitioning?
What are you wearing?

Transitioning–goodness, no! I’m still resolutely clinging to summer. But my part-Indian husband (he’s 1/8 Lakota and 1/8 Blackfoot) noticed that the robins have come back early–which probably forebodes an early frost for those up north. You must be more naturally in-tune with the seasons than I am.
We are sad to see summer leave, too! It is simply heartbreaking. Thank you for telling us about the early return of the robins – we were wondering why we felt compelled to transition earlier this year than we did last year. We hope the upcoming season has great things in store for you! And your husband! We sincerely thank you for the kind words.
