Today we learned the sad news of the passing of the talented giant Nora Ephron.
We did not get the chance to meet her but we adore many of her movies (especially You’ve Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, How Harry Met Sally, Michael and Julie and Julia) and; therefore, we feel we have lost someone special to us. Her work is filled with humor, wit and fantastic love. She captured the human in all of us and showed us ourselves so we then looked into and examined ourselves. Her movies led us into the corridors of emotions and she made us feel happy as if her characters’ happiness were ours, too. What we love most is her movies made us fetch a throw blanket, gather exceedingly close on the sofa and share a pillow.
We already miss you, Nora! We wish you a peaceful rest!

Someone recently wrote that Nora Ephron was the narrator of our lives. Her passing is a huge loss for our culture, and it was lovely of you to honor her in your blog. (If you only know her through her awesome films, please check out her wonderful and hilarious essays.)
Thanks very much for visiting my site today—I’m glad a fellow Ephron fan liked my cupcake recipe! Nora, a great foodie, would approve!

Yes, a great loss. And thank you.
I saw her on The View three years ago talking about Julie and Julia. It was the first time I ever saw her speaking about her work. What a thoughtful, funny and intelligent woman. Nora, thank you for sharing your talents with the world.
