STOP RUSHING US!

Summer only officially began last week on the 20th and we are enjoying it in every way we can!  Yet, all over the fashion world “Fall” is the buzz (and Spring/Summer 2013! Yes, 2013! 2012 Summer isn’t even finished, yet). The Fall collections are in stores and talked about and we just want to stay in summer!!! This summer, not summer 2013 which is on the runways now! Enter any clothing store and you will probably find wool winter coats and cashmere sweaters. We need no reminder of the cold weather around the corner! Can’t we just wait for the leaves to begin changing colors before we talk and shop “Fall?”

Even though, we are completing our Fall collection, we don’t often call it the “Fall” collection. We call it the “Next” collection. It is too early to be reminded of cold mornings and cold nights. Of frosty windshields and fickle temperatures. Of layers of clothing and stingy, short days! Please do not misinterpret our lamentations, we love Fall but we love it during Fall. Who can resist loving boots, lightweight scarves, trench coats, the cool breeze and the oh so magnificent leaves? It’s just that today the sun was still shining at 9pm and we were able to do so many things within the day with sandals on our feet, naked shoulders and the car air conditioner. We simply want to enjoy summer one day at a time! We do not want to be rushed through the splendor of it!!!

Thanks for your visit to my page and the like! Good thoughts about the madness of always looking ahead to the next season. Much better to enjoy what we have now, tomorrow will come without us doing anything anyhow :-)

Thank you for stopping by my blog!
Your post made me smile :) .
Nowadays you sometimes have to be strong in your shoes not to get “run over” by haste. Everything needs to be fast, needs to *be* right now (fast food, ordering goods, receiving answers to a mail etc). We want the future today. I’m actually quite ok with having the present for today. (No pun intended.. but it did make me laugh hihi).
