New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion week begins this week! The 2013 Spring/Summer collections are just around the corner!

Floral prints were big this year for Spring/Summer and even the Fall collections contained floral prints.  What will the new collections tell us about 2013? About ourselves? This fall we are seeing BIG pants and oversize coats? Does this mean we are tired of skinny pants which compress our legs to toothpicks? Does this mean we want to reveal less of ourselves? Are we moving toward conservative dressing? Before the models walk down the runways, check the websites of your favorite designers for the gift of live online showings.

We have heard many past attendees say they would prefer to watch it online from their sofas. It seems as though nothing could compare to the real thing! Being there! Up close! We will have to find out for ourselves and let you know when we do.

What do you hope to see on the runways?

Will you be watching online or will you be there?

Inspiration

Inspiration can be found anywhere in all shapes,

  – sizes and in unexpected things. Most times, it is not pursued but rather, it pursues.

This shot was inspired by the talented photographer, Raoul Brown, of Raoul Brown Photography.

The gazebo was sitting pretty and it was the first time we had a clear shot – except for the man on the phone who would not move. We shot it anyway for if we waited longer, more people would appear. It is rarely unpopulated. We just had to take the shot.

We love good food! Need we say more!

What inspired you?
