As we mentioned in our “Flowers” entry, we will begin a flower garden this summer!
We are excited to have found a lot of tulip bulbs before their season ends. While we did not find the tulips at Walmart (see yesterday’s post entry) or at two Lowe’s locations, we found them when we were not looking for them. We snatched them up in a snappy because they are quite difficult to find at this time of the year. We were going to the deli section of the Ingles market, yes, Ingles for freshly sliced oven-roasted turkey and there they were. And there we were!
Is that what is said about love …it finds you when you are not looking for it. Such is the case of how my husband and I met. At a party where neither of us wanted to be – and certainly, not at a time in our lives when we looking for love. Yet, it happened in an instant!
Since we’ve found the tulips, we’ve begun to see them everywhere. Are they not going out of season anymore? It’s like buying a car. Ever noticed after you have bought one, you begin to see the same make and model everywhere? So thankful fashion is not quite that way. Imagine the terror if that were the case! Even a megastore such as Target has top designer labels at limited sizes for a limited time. Whew!
As for the flowers, we love them! We love that they, about 20 bulbs, are already in a wide mouth glass vase! So, they are sitting pretty until we replant them. We will transfer them to soil (we will probably start with raised flower boxes) within the next few days! Unless, we become stingy and keep them inside in the vase longer than planned rather than share them with the outside. Looking at them gives us joy!
Do you have a flower garden?
Are you planning to start one?
Do you love tulips, too?
we invite you to Like us on Facebook
…Thank you in advance!

Fabulous images & photography!
Thank you so much …we love everything about your blog!
Keep going strong, looking forward to future post.
My mom’s favorite flower is a tulip. Each Mother’s Day I get her a tulp plant and when she is done enjoying it inside she plants it outside… needless to say she has a full flower garden of them now, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.. she says it is her garden of daughter love. I know when they come up each year she is reminded of me and how much I love her.
That is beautiful and so dear… it is something we hope to continue. It is a wonderful thing to hear-read and feel the love when you talk about your Mom. Thank you for sharing!

So pretty, I really love that glass vase too. It would be quite hard to get something to fit all those Tulip bulbs in.
