We are often asked about the name of our company, WASIA. “What does it mean?” They ask.
It is of the Swahili language, we say. Then we define.
wasia noun, testament, will

Then we explain — we are fashioning our lives to be a testament of the power of colossal faith (way bigger than a mustard seed), of perseverance and of honorable, passionate labor – and of the strength in standing after each fall. We know we are fortunate and blessed to be here – together – doing things we love, with love and care. Each day we wake up and each moment we remember to remember to be grateful, we realize…

…not of ourselves but of God’s grace and power in our lives and in this universe. Ever wonder how the moon hangs in the sky or how the earth yields new life? We do and even then we then find We Are Standing In Awe of the miracle and goodness which surrounds us. This we say is why our logo is our interpretation of the earth.

Then they say, “Ohhhh, now we get it!”

I love this idea and the thought behind the name. Our God is SO good and the most brilliant Creator! Thanks for liking my art at Grace Line Arts. Wild you mind if I use some of your jewelry as inspiration for future pieces? I’ll be sure to link it back to you!
Yes, we agree, God is almighty and the most brilliant Creator! You are talented and your art is wonderful to look at – it’s so happy – even “Grumpy!” Absolutely, yes, we would be thrilled if you were to use our jewelry as inspiration! It is spectacular to know our art inspires yours. That makes us happy!
Such a nice way to explain the meaning of WASIA
Enjoyed your other posts too, especially ‘Go Turtle Go’, a good reminder of what life should be about and you put things across in a ‘chilled out’ way. Thanks for stopping by my blog too.

Very interesting concept, I have always wondered how come some of the jewels have an “African feel”, are they?
We use materials from all around the world; therefore, our pieces can evoke feelings of a particular region, country, continent and various cultures. We love working with materials from all around the world, after all, most times, the materials are the first source of inspiration. We are thrilled some pieces remind you of your home in Kenya! Thanks for visiting and we hope you have a great day!
